KONTUR
The Kontur collection was conceived with the goal of designing a simple stool using solid rod and the forming manufacturing process. Throughout the design process the material lent itself to creating simple closed profiles that resemble contour lines as a contour line traces the outer profile of an object. This was the main inspiration for the design aesthetic of the series and informed the design language of each products frame structure. This is also where the name of the series Kontur is derived from, which is Swedish for contour. Swedish was chosen for its design heritage, simple, modern, practical and affordable design for all.
The Kontur collection is currently made up of 5 products, which include a chair, stool, cafe table, lounge table and bar height table.
